Background
Hong Kong CU Movement Charity Fund is an officially authorized charity organizationregistered under Company Law, Hong Kong SAR Ordinance Cap. 32 , on 22 September 2010 by the Credit Union League of Hong Kong.
Credit Union is a recognized cooperative organisation formed and owned by a group of people with common bonding. The objective of Credit Union is “not for profit, not for charity, but to serve".By applying the “Self-help and Mutual-help” philosophy, Credit Union encourages members to save regularly and use the accumulated savings in helping members to improve their living standard, in the form of low interest loans.
Credit Union Movement in Hong Kong has a history of 50 years. It is being regulated and protected by “Credit Union Ordinance”, Hong Kong SAR Ordinance Cap 119. As at 31st December 2014, there were a total of 40 Credit Unions, with over 80,000 members in Hong Kong.
Credit Union League of Hong Kong is the top layer organization of the Credit Union Movement in Hong Kong. In an attempt to promote and encourage Credit Unions to fulfill their social responsibilities through a more effective and efficient channel, the Hong Kong CU Movement Charity Fund was established.

Objective
The prime objective of the Fund is to conduct charity work to help the less fortunate group getting out of poverty by applying the "Self help and Mutual help" philosophy. We target our work to cover Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas. We welcome donations and assistance of any form.

Organization Structure
The Hong Kong CU Movement Charity Fund is a subsidiary of the Credit Union League of Hong Kong of which its directors are appointed by Board of Directors of Credit Union League of Hong Kong.
The Board has a maximum of 15 members, work on a voluntary basis. It consists of one Chairman, two Vice Chairmen, one Treasurer and one Secretary plus a maximum of ten board members.
With the discretion of the Board, Hong Kong CU Movement Charity Fund may confer the following honorary title to individuals or organizations who makes significant contribution to the fund.

We welcome donations and assistance of any form. A receipt will be sent to you within 7 days and donations of HK$100 or above can apply for tax exemption.
